Pets play an increasingly important role in many families – that is why their health and quality of life is so important. We have strengthened our companion animal vaccine range considerably by adding a number of innovative products. Our NOBIVAC brand offers protection against a range of serious diseases in pets. Products offering three years of immunity against the most common canine and feline pathogens have been added to the portfolio. The parvo components of our small animal vaccine range provide protection even against the latest field strains. NOBIVAC is protecting essential bonds in life with superior vaccines and innovative business support tools.

The approval in the USA of PANACUR PLUS (ivermectin/fenbendazole/praziquantel) for the treatment and control of various internal parasites and for the prevention of canine heartworm disease in adult dogs allows convenient administration of deworming treatment.

We have also started introducing PLERION chewable tablets (pyrantel/oxantel/praziquantel) for the treatment of dogs against mixed parasitic infestations of nematode (roundworm) and cestode (tapeworm) species. Another product just launched is NOBIVAC LYME vaccine against canine lyme disease. Uniquely, by receiving this vaccine dogs will produce high titers of both OspA and OspC borreliacidal antibodies.

PANACUR/SAFEGUARD (fenbendazole) is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic dewormer used widely in companion animals and a variety of food–producing species. We market a canine heartworm preventative, TRI-HEART PLUS (ivermectin and pyrantel), as well as ectoparasiticides. EXSPOT (permethrin) protects dogs against a number of external parasites including fleas and ticks and our SCALIBOR ProtectorBand (deltamethrin) protects dogs against sand fly bites – a major vector of the serious zoonotic disease, leishmaniasis and against mosquito bites as well as ticks.

In veterinary endocrinology, we have expanded our portfolio with the addition of LEVENTA (levothyroxine), an oral solution for the management of hypothyroidism in dogs and VIDALTA (carbimazole), a sustained-release tablet  formulation for once daily treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats. Our veterinary insulin, CANINSULIN/VETSULIN, was developed specifically for the management of diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats. It is part of a growing range of specialty products for the treatment of companion animal health problems – a market which has increased rapidly in size and sophistication.

VASOTOP (ramipril), which is used to treat canine congestive heart failure, is now in a palatable formula, making it easier to administer and helping to increase treatment compliance.

Our portfolio also includes the ophthalmic ointment OPTIMMUNE (cyclosporine) and the otic ointment OTOMAX (gentamicin/betamethasone/clotrimazole). Our second generation otic suspension MOMETAMAX (gentamicin/mometasone/clotrimazole) is highly efficacious and helps to improve pet owner compliance due its a once-a-day administration schedule. The canine and equine and most recently feline, analgesic, DOLOREX (butorphanol) are available for veterinarians to control pain.
