BOXMEER (The Netherlands)
Boxmeer, March 19, 2010 - Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health launches the website Studio Recharge, broadcasting to the global dairy community from the 5th International Dairy Federation (IDF) Mastitis Conference 2010 which will take place from March 21-24 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The IDF Mastitis Conference (www.idfmastitis2010.com) is the global rendezvous on the theme of mastitis (udder infection). As a leader in the fight against mastitis, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health will be present, providing an innovative program of exclusive video interviews. It will allow those who are not able to make it to Christchurch to benefit from the insights, findings and best practices of some of the key thinkers and do-ers in the dairy industry.
The Company’s exhibition booth at the conference has been conceptualized as “Studio Recharge”, evoking the primary importance of “recharging” or restoring the cow’s full milk producing capacity through the right anti-bacterial strategy combined with a full 60-day dry cow period.
The concept transforms the Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health stand at the IDF Mastitis Conference into a veritable TV studio, which will produce a broad range of interviews on essential issues in the treatment and protection against mastitis.
The innovative contents will be broadcasted on www.studiorecharge.com, a site created for the operation. New videos will be released each day of the four-day conference. The website will be online until the end of April. Studio Recharge is part of the company’s commitment to fighting mastitis and helping the global diary industry consistently achieve a healthy and productive next lactation.
“This is an opportunity to communicate the topics of the IDF Mastitis Conference in an innovative format that serves the professional dairy community on a global scale,’ remarks Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health’s Rinse-Jan Boersma, one of the instigators of the project.
The 5th IDF International Mastitis Conference 2010 (www.idfmastitis2010.com) will report on innovative research and other advances in the understanding of mastitis being achieved worldwide. It will attract academic and technical leaders in this field from all over the world to discuss progress since the 2005 meeting in Maastricht, and offers the premier networking opportunity of the year. Keynote speakers will discuss the topical industry issues including environment, economics, mastitis and milk quality along with farming perspectives and animal welfare. Delegates can expect exposure to new understanding, reports on new technologies and networking within the international community active in mastitis research and extension.
