Description
Nobilis Ovo-Diphtherin is a live vaccine against pox in chickens and turkeys.

Live fowl pox virus strain WP: >= 3.7 log¹⁰ EID₅₀

A freeze-dried pellet

Indications
Vaccination against Fowl pox.

Vaccination
Future layers and breeding stock:

Normal vaccination:
During the rearing period from the age of 10 weeks, and after the moulting period.Emergency vaccination : At any age. Re-vaccinate before lay and after the moulting period.

Broilers:
Emergency vaccination : At any age

Remarks:
This programme is intended only as a guide: local conditions must be allowed for, and the advice of a veterinary surgeon should be followed.

Dosage
One dose per bird.

Method of administration
Wing-Web method: dip the double needle into the vaccine solution so that both grooves are filled, before vaccinating each bird. Remove excess vaccine by lightly touching the needle against the inside of the vial. Push the feathers aside, stretch the wing-web and insert the double needle through the wing-web from beneath. Avoid damaging the muscles, joints or blood vessels.

Presentation
Boxes of vials each containing 1000 doses vaccine with Diluent UNISOL, connector and applicator.

Storage
Store at a temperature of 2-8°C in the dark.

Contra-indications
When used according to instructions: None.

Further information
Dispose of empty or part-used vials in accordance with local regulations.

Precautions

• Vaccinate healthy birds only.
• Wash and disinfect hands and equipment after vaccinating.
• Each vial should be used immediately after opening.
• Avoid human exposure to vaccine virus as much as possible
