Through our long-standing partnership with Mission Rabies and Rabies Free Africa, we continue to spread awareness of the critical impact vaccines have in preventing and eliminating this devastating disease to help reduce the number of domestic and wild dogs infected with rabies. Through our Afya program, we support these rabies control organizations and have reached the milestone of donating five million doses of our rabies vaccine to reach the goal of eliminating canine-mediated human rabies by 2030. Also, we donate thousands of doses of vaccines to horses rescued through the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign.

We invest in the future of the veterinary professional associations by supporting research, education and specialized skills training, especially focused on the personal and professional health and well-being among veterinarians. In this way, they will have real solutions and resources to provide the best care possible for the animals they treat — and themselves. Through the years, we have partnered with and provided financial support to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to develop tools and resources to improve well-being within the veterinary community and make veterinary medicine a stronger and healthier profession. As a result of three significant studies over the past few years, we continue to work with the AVMA and other veterinary organizations on programs to prioritize self-care, invest in personal well-being and manage stress in healthy ways among the veterinary community.

In addition, we support educational institutions and veterinary scholarship programs by providing funds to facilitate participants at scientific congresses. In 2022, we awarded $1.5 million in grants, have supported 275 veterinary student scholarships in 70 countries and have partnered with 18 non-profit organizations. To date, we’ve donated over $6 million in scholarships.
